Retreat 2006

We just wrapped up our first (annual, hopefully) Training Department retreat. The amount of material covered was staggering for a mere 1 1/2 days. We came out of the retreat with a lot of goals. We established time lines to complete these goals. The Top 6 items on our Training Plan for 2007 are:

1. Develop strategies to share the training responsibility at store level.
2. Enhance our training solutions.
3. Develop training for Assistant Managers
4. Create standards to measure our training effectiveness.
5. Educate corporate offices and stores about what we do and how we can help achieve strategic objectives.
6. Monitor the stores' completion of compliance training.
